Aqueous Ultrasonic cleaning really needs hot water and some type of non-sudsing
surfactant additive. Greasy parts donâ??t clean well. Ultrasonic sound waves
get absorbed by grease and kill the cavitation cleaning action. Solvents work
best in those situations. Bigger than bench top ultrasonic cleaners are
available but pricey. Mostly sold for automotive (transmission repair, radiator
cleaning) and large variety of specialty industrial cleaning. I made and sold
them in an earlier life.
