Precisely. In a racecar differential, there happens always something else
before GL5 oil would have the opportunity to do any damage to the "yellow"
parts.

I've always stayed with GL4 (usually StayLube from the local Napa), but
have wondered how much faster GL5 eats yellow metal. I've heard folklore
(which I'm always leery of), but never seen any "real" data. Would it
take a year or 100 years to show any significant damage?
