Your choices are limited if still available. VARA has a block of rooms at
Motel 6 Central. Expedia is showing rooms available there, at Studio 6 and
the Vagabond Inn. Otherwise you will be looking at hotels in Bakersfield,
Wasco, Taft and Shafter, some distance from the track. A recent closure of
the Buttonwillow Inn has tightened up inventory somewhat.

For information, Buttonwillow is basically an overgrown truck stop in the
middle of nowhere on I-5. Close to the track though, so it sees plenty of
use from the racing crowd. Take a satellite look on Google maps to get the
idea.
