Marty...
A further comment on using your wife's shelving paper as stock for making race
car number changes at an event.
Obviously the stuff comes in a roll so the pressure sensitive adhesive side has
a cover layer in place until you go to use it. You use that side to sketch the
number you want (usually a '1'). No so important for the numeral '1', but
critical for most of the others...to remember to sketch it 'backwards' because
when you cut it out it is the front side that will display. History tells us
GROUP 44 learned this lesson when they cut numbers in a hurry at an event.
They neglected to draw the numbers backwards. The way I understand it...that
error actually became their trademark, and the basis for their 'backwards'
logo. Hooray for GROUP 44. Everyone loves self depreciation humor, which, of
course, comes easy for me.

Subject: [Fot] Temperary Numbers
When you folks have to modify your number for an event what are you using that
doesn't make a mess of things when you take it off? Duct tape, electrical tape,
other?
Thanks,
Marty
