Attic of my garage..which is heated and insulated,,,I put them there because
they are large parts, and not Racecar parts.....I have a smallish race shop so
need all the floorspace I can get....AND,as long as you prompted this thread,I
un wrapped the parts (HD cloth curtains)...and rechecked the numbers....Boot
has an installed re-inforcement ?which shows as 806831 in the book as seperate
item....and The one I have has a pre-installed re-inf full tubular
structure....The ?outer shell shows part 575787....I was using my old dealer
parts manual but apparently you could get it with the re-inf. bolted in and
different number total...the re-inf shows as 806831 ,plus a bunch of other
p/n's for the nuts and bolts......I have the parts manual that shows all this
and it could be scanned and sent if that is a concern....Otherwise,trust me ,it
is original NOS as sent to dealer....sometimes in those days they sold body
items from a "collision manual" for the dealers only...any other questions,
I'll try to answer.....THESE ARE NOT VIC BRIT parts.......rick
?
By the way...I'd be curious what "image" you get.....from my attic?.....Are you
on 'Ghost Hunters " TV channel, or Long Island Medium?

When I see an email of somebody storing body parts in the attic, I get a
mental image of something far removed from old English sports cars.
.......but, then again.....

Subject: [Fot] NOS body parts for sale...Spitfire roundtail
I have 2 body parts in the attic, preserved, that would be of good use for
someone doing a professional or top-notch restoration for a streetcar....
1.) Rear Boot-lid P/N 574400 for a 62 -70 roundtail Spit Mk.1,11,111....marque.
It is NOS/ Mint.....from Coventry in red primer with an original Stanpart label
as p/n 574400.....never used ,or touched since the "60s....where I acquired it
from a Triumph dealer .......
2.) Front lower valence P/N 811676....for Mk111,or other ...It was mint,but
previous owner tried to handspray the exterior with something close to the old
chocolate metallic...very light coat(can kinda see thru it....back side is red
NOS primer.....It is steel, and no dents or damage. was not installed . Has two
hanger brackets on it.
I'm sure you can probably buy reproductions, but these are " Original" with
provenance....
I would entertain any reasonable offers......buyer must pay shipping and any
special packing or insurance preferences.......Contact me by phone or email:
