Kees,
Given the constraints of the Healey engine bay and footwell, I do not think
it is possible to achieve exact equal length pipes, then 6 pipes into 3,
and so forth as you describe. If it could have been done.... I would have
done it. As the pipes are done now, it is like threading a needle to get
both sets into the small opening between engine and chassis. The tubes are
1-3/4" so the inside diameter is 1-5/8" which is the same size as the
exhaust ports. If anyone has made a set of headers better than these, I
would love to see them. And yes the 2 into 1 wye is not every elegant but
that is not part of the headers. It was an afterthought and can be
discarded.
