The shaft and pedestals are the weak points on the stock setup, unless it's a 
full race engine.

Stock rockers can work fine, that's what Jack ran.  Do a hardened 
rocker shaft, alloy pedestals with outriggers to hold the outer end 
of the rocker shaft.
