I run a Quaife dog box (was unaware of the Bastuck option at that
time), 3.8 rear end ratio (Ford 8" - pre-Southwick rear axle
conversion). I used to run 4.1 with an OD. I haven't lost any speed
out of the turns. There are a couple of tracks where I legitimately
use first gear (which is much taller than stock). It's a joy to shift.
