| Thread-topic: | Fuel cell |
I currently have a steel plate that runs under my trunk pan and 'protects' my fuel safe fuel cell. I am looking to cut some weight by removing. If I do, my fuel cell will hang below the trunk pan maybe 3". I see other racers with their cells hanging below the trunk pan. Any safety issue with doing this? Any reason not to cut that plate out--runs entire width of trunk? Thanks!
