I have been=C2=A0silently watching this=C2=A0interesting discussion.=C2=A0I=
too would encourage looking at diesel power. The fuel efficiency=C2=A0is s=
uperior to gasoline as well as the torque to climb=C2=A0grades.=20
My '93 Dodge Ram D 250 just required a new turbo at 388,000=C2=A0miles. It =
got a rebuilt injector pump and injectors at 280,000. Other than that nothi=
ng=C2=A0but careful maintenance. After the=C2=A0new turbo it was run on a r=
olling road dyno. It puts out 140 HP which is about 15 above stock. That do=
esn't sound like much but, the torque is 404=C2=A0lbs ft. Towing my goosene=
ck 24 ft trailer with a loaded weight of 7000 lbs, it regularly gives me 15=
MPG.=C2=A0Of course it is nearly=C2=A0a classic to match my cars, I just w=
anted to point out the advantages of a diesel.

Marcel, what you don't realize is that diesels are almost nonexistent over=
here in anything smaller than a 3/4 ton (F-250 etc.).=C2=A0 There is no di=

are German SUVs which are some of the cleanest engines around.=C2=A0 I now=
tow my 18 foot enclosed trailer (about 5,000 lb) with a BMW X5 3.0L diesel=
