If you=E2=80=99re an SCCA member and drive an LBC race car, =
there=E2=80=99s a new place to play =E2=80=93 come to the SCCA Solo =
Nationals Sept. 10-11. We are trying to create a new =E2=80=9CHeritage =
Classic=E2=80=9D class primarily focusing on smallbore cars from the =
=E2=80=9860s-=E2=80=9880s =E2=80=93 LBCs to be sure, but also smallbore =
cars from Fiat, Datsun, and others of their ilk. Many (not all) of us =
were G Prepared up to last year, when the Solo Board simply deleted the =
class. They said we could go back to D Prepared =E2=80=93 been there, =
done that, already well proven we cannot compete with Miatas and the =
like. So we created HC with a car list that includes several cars beyond =
what was in the old GP (including TR4s and Spitfires) and, kinda in =
protest, we=E2=80=99re all entering in D Modified (we don=E2=80=99t want =
to create more trophies for the overdog DP cars). Right now =
we=E2=80=99re almost half the DM class and we=E2=80=99d love to see a =
few more. FOT drivers very welcome! We=E2=80=99re also planning a =
cookout, a group paddock and special awards for the top HC cars. See =
