I had a high speed vibration years ago with my TR-4A IRS.=C2=A0 It was caus=
ing my engine to miss.=C2=A0 At the suggestion of an engineer friend, i too=
k the driveshaft to a clutch and driveshaft company to have it balanced.=C2=
=A0 I'm not sure how closely the factory balanced them, or if someone using=
the driveshaft prior to me had done something to get it out of balance.=C2=
=A0 Anyway, after having it balanced, the vibration, and the high speed mis=
s went away.=C2=A0 Problem solved.

FoT,
I have a driveline vibration that doesn't start up until I get to about 95-=
100 MPH. I figured I would start with the driveshaftbefore looking into th=
e diff or OD/trans. I have an IRS car with Richard Good CV axles and hubs s=
o it's very un likely its that butI will inspect them. I'm wondering if any=
body has any advice on high speed vibration diagnosis or detection. What I'm=
wondering is even if it is the driveshaft how would I know with it sitting=
on my bench. Any help would, as always be greatly appreciated.Jim g
