I had a typo. The 1962 TR4 sold for $54,096.00 vice $59,506.00 previously
reported.

The current issue of AUTOWEEK talks about the recent 2011 RM London Sale held
t Battersea Park.
As usual, there were a bunch of multi-million dollar Ferarris sold, and other
nteresting stuff. including my
ll time desire for a 1965 Aston Martin DB5, which sold for $604,072.00.
But what caught my eye was the opening three sales. Billed as "Property of a
wiss gentleman" three
ommon TRIUMPHs were sold. Not Class 1 condition, but described as 'nicely
resented' they all sold.
he 1959 TR3A for 59,506.00, a 1962 TR4 for $59,506.00, and a 1967 TR5 for
52,293.00. All the prices
urprised me, but mostly the TR5, which I considered the most desireable (but
didn't see them).
WOW!
Next time my wife complains about my TRIUMPHs, I'm gonna say, "What are you
alking about? We're rich!"
