I will miss John. I know his health was lousy, and he struggled to make his
way around the paddock, but he had a great sense of humor, knew his Triumphs,
and always helped out with parts and tools in the paddock. He had a way with
the written word and his comments will be sorely missed. I'll remember him in
that pale blue TR3 or in his old pick-up truck. A life cut too short, for
sure. We'll have to have a ceremony/toast for him at the Turkey Bowl this year.

Don't know if you have heard. FYI.

It is with sadness that I pass along the news of the passing of
John (JR) Herrera. His brother Frank (Tico) will be handling the
arrangements. As of now, I know that JR will be cremated and that
Tico will arrange a memorial service at a place and time yet to be
determined. I will let everyone know as soon as I know.
JR was a dear friend and one of the original M-D TRA members.
He will be missed by many, including the hundreds of people he befriended on
the internet forums that he hung-out on. May his soul rest in peace and
hopefully at some vintage races up in the sky.
