Hi John, you've got the HS6 and not the H6 if I remember well ? (on the 3A
stock carbs are the SU H6) Maybe it makes a difference in fuel supply`?
You may try enlarging the needle seat hole, a trick recommended by Kas, and
now SU provides as well needle floats of larger ID up to .110'' if I
remember correctly ; see www.sucarb.co.uk

The 1.75 SU's on my TR3A stutter coming out of the slow, tight right-hander
at Kershaw, but did not coming out of turn 7 at Road Atlanta. Go figure?
