Assuming you have the replacements in hand, the procedure is dead simple.
Jack up car, secure.
Remove rear wheel, brake drum.
Undo 6 7/16" (iirc) nuts holding hub carrier to trailing arm.
Slide out hub and outer sliding axle. Put on bench.
Remove 4 9'16" (iirc again) bolt/nut pairs holding inner axle assy and U
joint to diff. Remove, put on bench with other half.
Got to bench. Replace ujoints, axles.
reassembly is the reverse of disassembly.
DO NOT OVERTORQUE THE TINY NUTS ON THE STUDS HOLDING THE HUB TO THE TRAILING
ARM. The torque spec is not a misprint, it really is something tiny.
If you strip out the trailing arms, you are royally screwed as there isn't a
lot of room to helicoil the holes or the like.
I've got this down to about a 45 minute job per side. A very long 3/8"
rachet extension is a big help.
Best of luck.
