I have one that I will let go for $15,000.00. And I will throw in a full
race fuel injected 1296 engine, Full synchro 3-Rail OD gearbox and a
beautiful Mk1 Spitfire body complete with interior and soft top.

I did a bunch of research on this about a year ago. The thinner one is off
a Herald and from what I was told, is probably not a candidate for a race
car. Street car, sure. I have one and would be willing to part with it.
The thicker bellhousing is off of an early (very early) Spitfire. They are
very difficult to find. I located one last year and had to give $175 for
it.
New ones are available out of England for around $500. Spitbits sometimes
has them in stock.

Is the use of a Herald bellhousing in a Spit a worthwhile
idea? If so, what is a fair price for one?
