I hate to stirr up trouble, but someone needs to bluntly ask HMSA if they will
accept anyone regardless of prep levels. They have always been sticklers in
the past. It is only fair to those who want to make the long tow.
Will you be doing that Paul? I, for one, do not want to change anything,
including tires, for one event.
Sorry to be so negative, but they have a reputation for purity, which I
understand. But we need to know up front.

OK, now I'm confused. Do we have to get approved for this race by By HMSA or
not.
My car does not fit into any of their classes. Although it fits my own
sancanctioning body rules it doesn't even come close to their rules.
I'm thinking of towing for three days to get out there... So I want some
track time, not one race and a couple of short practice sessions.
Last Cup in Kansas made for a worthwhile long tow.... Liberally viewed 1972
specs, tons of track time. I love my car partly because of its 40 year
racing pedigree, but according to their web sight it is not eligible to race
in any group. How will this all pan out?
