Back in the early 80's, I had a crank worked on through a machine shop
that was working on Formula 1 at the time. They had it ground
undersize, and then chromed oversize and ground to standard.
I ended up never building that motor, but I've been saving that crank
and other components for my current street TR4A, for when a rebuild
comes along.
What's the thoughts on that process versus nitriding?
