I met Bob Kramer back in 1994-1995 when we lived in Austin and CVAR had Group 5
which was "run what you brung" ... Bob was racing a TR3 with CVAR and I had one
of those brand new 1994 Mustang 5.0 we ran a few times with CVAR. I was always
a
Triumph guy and even ran our street TR6 at CVAR once or twice till the
non-prepared engine figured holding 6000 rpm was not fun anymore.
Bob has always been and continues to be one of the best guys you can have in
the
garage when we are perplexed about the ins' and outs' of amateur drivers like
me
trying to get a 40 year old car to go faster than it was built to go. As far as
his roving parts bins, I'll bet he could pull a quarter panel out of one if you
asked ... : )
Getting back into CVAR in 1997 and racing a GT6 (I've only owned about 19) has
been one of the most fun things I've ever done besides deep sea fishing for
tuna.... both with my clothes on....
Countless times I've called Bob and he has always taken the time to help me
with
my quandary concerning the GT6 and Triumph speak... he's a really great guy,
with a really great family, and his lovely wife Barbara ain't too bad on the
eyes either !!!
Congratulations Bob Kramer, you deserve the recognition!

I would not be racing if not for the assistance (and parts) from Bob.
Thanks Bob.

And...... the Bill Ames award was passed to Bob Kramer. Bob has helped
countless Triumphs get on or back on to the race track. He's one of the
best drivers I know. He gives away parts, is a gentleman racer, and he
has towed to almost all of the FoT focus events. A great guy and worthy
recipient.
