Sebring will need a 'champion' to pursue it.
Ideally, the sanctioning body and venue want us there.
This 60th Anniversary and the Kastner Cup event is way too big for me to
pursue on my own.
We need solid proposals and someone to pursue them.
(It seems logical that we combine the 60th and the Kastner Cup together, of
course, but they are separate entities)
If John Nikas had not stepped forward with Leguna Seca, I am not sure where we
would be for 2011. Only 10 MONTHS AWAY.
VSCDA'S ELVF is interested, but wants to know shortly for planning purposes.
Road America is certainly a candidate.
So is MOSPORT, ROAD ATLANTA, LIME ROCK, and the rest of North America, for
that matter.
If anyone wants to pursue ANY venue, please let me know and I will try to
help.

Joe and list. In terms of historic significance, the most logical choice
is Sebring. It is Sebring's 60th anniversary of the 12 Hour. Triumph
had a strong presence at the track over the years. Kas was a major
player at the track with the TR effort (and with Nissan if we dare say
that word), FOT member Ed Diehl drove the race in one of the factory
TR4's, etc. Downside is the 12 Hour is a very busy week-end and
depending on support races track time is ??? But, if you want to be
part of a truly historic event, this is worth looking at. No where else
will you be able to show the cars in front of 100,000 + people . Ted
