I have a 13" Grant Wheel in my Black Spit. But because I am not all that
enthusiastic about the horn circuit that is used in that wheel, I adapted a
3-spoke Grant wheel to the hub from a MkIV/early 1500 wheel (which is like
your TR6 wheel). I had to do some cutting but it is secure and the rubber
horn surround piece covers up all the ragged metal. It has a very large
grip which I hand stitched leather onto for an attractive appearance.

I did the same thing for my son's Mk2 Spit using a different brand of
3-spoke 13" wheel.

Hello:

I have what I think is a stock steering wheel in my street TR6. It is a six
bolt pattern and measures 14" in diameter. Problem - there is not enough
room in the foot box so I have to angle my knees to the sides when I'm
seated but my knees still contact the steering wheel. I've been looking for
smaller steering wheel (approx. 13" diameter) in the usual Brit parts
catalogs but have not found one. I don't need an expensive, wood grain
Nardi or Momo model but would prefer a moderately priced version, even one
from a non-automotive supplier I could adapt to this application. Any
suggestions?

Gary
