 Curious -

When was it required for kill switches and the decal to identify its operation
to be installed on race vehicles. I realize every sanctioning body would of
incorporated this safety item at different dates in time. But, I have to ask
since it was brought up about a " Vintage On/Off Sticker " for our Triumphs.
Looking through the limited books I have I do not see any on cars up through
the mid to late sixties.

I have come across pics of 2 types of stickers. One is the most common which
is a tall rectangular label with a long blue triangle that has a red
lightening bolt in its center, both pointing down to the word OFF on the
bottom of the sticker. This seems to be available from many suppliers
including the SCCA. The other sticker is a larger blue symmetrical triangle
with a red lightening bolt in the center, there is no text on it. This one
takes a bit of searching to locate, but has been found at a couple site in
Britain.

I am also curious as to what the first label(s) looked like.

Curious,
Bob T
