Afternoon Members,
I posted a list a few days ago about how my engine builder didn't want
to use the Harland Sharp roller rockers I had purchased for my 1300
Spitfire vintage racer and that I wanted to sell them. He said they were
all over the place as far as dimensions etc.
Well seems I stirred up a hornet's nest of folks wanting to buy them and
also the manufacturer and Ted that distributes them too!
Anyway after getting the rockers I just sent them on to my builder,
never looked at them. He never looked at them either and when it was
time to use them this came up! Last night he and I spoke on the phone
and he did some measurements. First off there isn't any off set in the
arm??? Then the shaft is 5/8" not 1/2". Seems we were shipped the wrong
parts maybe for MG???
Anyway Harland Sharp and Ted want them back ASAP and have told me they
will take care of getting me the right stuff too. Good customer service
I say!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I wanted to post that is seems this is a total SNAFU that is no
body's fault, just stuff that happens occasionally and will get resolved
shortly. If we (Me, Ted and Harland Sharp) find out different we'll be
sure to let you know.
