I have been doing just that. This "Parts Quest", complete with photo,
has gone out to many folks. In the end, it's sometimes about just
catching the one person that knows he has some in his garage or
specifically knows someone that does.
Some of the vintage caps are still being supplied all over, this
particular one is not.
Give your friend my original parts quest with photo and maybe he'll
take a look sometime after watching an episode of "Hoarders" on
cable. I know that show motivates me to unload unneeded stuff!
