I had a nice email from Mark Pendergrass who is the track steward for
the Northwest Shelby Club inviting any FOT members who are coming to
the Columbia River Classic to stay an extra day for a test and tune day:
"SAAC NW ( shelby club) is going to hold a drivers training day on
sept. 8 (the day after the CRC). For insurance reasons we call it a
training day. We have 4 run groups, novice thru advanced. It appears
that a few FoTrs will be out here to enjoy PIR for the ABFM/CRC and
we'd like to invite the FoT family to stay an extra day and get more
seat time and or a test and tune day. The cost is 160.00 pre-
registered up to 2wks prior or 175.00 after that. We have scca turn
workers and all the other required items you would find on track.
Thanks Mark Pendergrass #65 tr4"
That's a very reasonable price for track time that you can use any way
you choose. Of course the CRC is already a lot of track time, but it
will be primarily actual racing. If you need some development time for
you car this will be particularly valuable because PIR is an extremely
good testing track. The way the hot pits work is ideal for trying
suspension tweaks and testing tire temperatures. Please contact Mark
directly if you are interested in this-I've included his email address.
