The Honda S2000 engine has 5 mains, delivers 240 hp in stock form, revs to
9000 RPM and all from 1997 cc.

Five main engines have a lot more friction than three mains do.
Probably wouldn't make more horsepower unless you were able to do
something magical as a result, which I doubt. With a good crank we can
already reach 7K. I doubt you see anything happen above that without a
lot better flow.
A good flowing head, now that's interesting.
