Actually, isn't the fix for that just being sure to use an early TR2/3 type
radiator cap, which accommodates that deep neck. I worked for me, when I
sheepishly discovered the issue half way through a racing season with my
early TR3. We had been trying different pressure rated radiator caps in an
effort to solve an over heating problem, and didn't realize we needed to be
sure
and use a deep cap.
