Mark: The valve is a "residual pressure" valve which retains a couple of pounds
of pressure on the front pads to reduce the amount of travel needed to bring
them into contact with the rotor. It is the "input" to the 5-way, and there is
no way around it if you use a 4-way and a pedal switch. I and others will
suggest that you retain it in some form. If you need a good 5-way send me your
address and I'll drop one in the post to you.

The 5-way brake union on the front of my TR3 racer is badly corroded and
leaks. I've looked at the Moss (not available), and Victoria British (not in
stock) and sent an email to TRF. Has anyone tried to adapt the 4 way off the
TR4/4A and mount the electric switch from the same? What about the
restrictor valve that mounts on the top of the 5 way, what purpose does it
serve and how do you get around it with the 4 way union?
Thanks in advance
