It looks like a cast alluminum version of the fabricated steel tube manifold
that were made by V.K. Derriington in England in the late 50s and early 60s.
The tubular steel fabricated manifold have the balance tube above the main
manifold. It connects right in the center top of each "v" junction. The
overall form of the manifolds are very similar.
