The June 2008 issue of TRIUMPH WORLD arrive yesterday, and includes a great
article by Andy Willsheer about our own Ken Gillanders (British Frame & Engine)
and his 1955 Triumph TR2. Anyone familiar with this car knows its storied
history which includes rallies and drag racing. That latter career was
legendary. It was a Giant Killer. Now dressed out in street trim, it looks
like a
trailer queen, but be advised Red Rocket is a better moniker.
There is also a short, but nice piece on Joe Alexander, Alexander Racing
Enterprises and the 'AMBRO PROJECT.'
I am only about a third into the issue. There's some other good stuff too,
including an article by Paul Richardson about a couple of Peters (you should
excuse the expression)...Clarke and Cox, and a near death experience racing
Spitfires on twisty Italian roads.
