I do it using a floor jack and 4 _three tonne_ jackstands. The larger
jackstands allow you to raise the car a lot higher. The normal two tonne
jackstands only go up to 18 inches of so but the three tonne ones go quite
a bit higher.
I got the 3-tonners for the truck, but figured out that they help get the
car higher for some of the suspension work.
