Id like to propose Neil Revington for membership of our esteemed institution.
Ive known Neil for 10 years at least now and I honestly dont know anyone who
is as steeped in TR's as he is.
Neil runs Revington TR and im sure many of you have spoken to him or bought
some of te quality parts he supplies, te majority after thorough testing on
one of his own TR's.
Neil studied aeronautical engineering as an Electro- Mechanical engineer in
the early 70's whilst completing a Ministry of Defence apprenticeship in
quality assurance.
After spending a few years an MOD QA officer, the wider world beckoned and
Neil set up Revington TR after a move to Somerset England.
The company has grown over the last 30 years and has become synonymous with
quality and service.
Neil has been the driving force behind most of the improvements offered by
Revington TR, many of which are tested on Neil's own TR2 ( bought for #17 when
an apprentice) and TR5.
Cars prepared by Revington TR have had success in all forms of motor sport
from trials, through sprints and Hillclimbs to rallies and races.
Neil has competed in many of the forms himself, winning the Southern Sprint
and Hillclimb championship in 1983 and a host of international rallies ( list
attached)
Neil continues to develop new improvements on a daily basis whilst running
Revington TR.
Neil also owns 6VC, one of the three surviving ex works TR4 rally cars and co
owns 3VC with myself and 3 others ....... 6VC gets out in hot competition
fairly regularly too, so he and I are very much of the same breed .... albeit
he is shorter and smarter.
