One thing to add to Andy's post is the 1147 crank will work in a 1296
engine just fine. All you hae to do is install a Speedi-Sleeve part
number 99287 from either National or CR. We're currently running an
1147 crank with a Speedi-Sleeve installed in Susan's race car. Works
just fine!
