I agree with Joe.
A torgue rod is mandatory for racing purpose....and even more if you do
standing starts.
Since I use the torgue rod I hadn't any failure of the motor mounts.
I use the square ones and fill the caves with windshield glue (don't know the
proper name)

I use the round ones, but I also have the Torque Reaction Arm in place.
This
is an OEM part used on the TR4.
It limits the travel of the engine when going from extreme braking to full
throttle. There is absolutely no question that it does, as I removed mine
to
reverse engineer this part to produce it. The result was bent velocity
stacks
at the next outing.
Subsequently, I think it also reduces the stress on the rear tranny
mount.
If anyone needs one, I have a few on the shelf.
