To clarify matters...
The early GT6 rod is much wider at the big-end than the 2500 rod. Post
67, the rods all became the same. Sometime about 72, the 2500 rods
changed to have a hole in them above a big-end bolt, but I've never seen
that on a 2000 engine
I used 4G32 rods on a 2000 race engine because I wanted a longer rod and
shorter pin height piston.
I'm now chasing a sensibly priced replacement rod for the 2500. I can
get them made locally if I have to.
