Hello All:

Completed a good weekend at Laguna Seca with the SCCA Spring Vintage Classic.
175 entries of all types, not your traditional vintage classes but lots of
interesting cars. Our small bore group of thirty seven cars included about
one third Mini-Coopers then a bunch of Porsche 356s and 911s, couple of
Datsuns, couple of Spitfires, a TR250, my TR4 along with some MGAs. A very
trick Mini-Cooper won the race...geez was he fast...lapped about half the
field in twenty-three minute race.

Questions: I have a stock clutch slave cylinder and a Wilwood clutch
reservoir. After bleeding the system at the end of the day, I checked it the
next morning and the fluid was a dark gray. It had been clear after bleeding
the system and there was no leakage plus the system worked fine during the
subsequent race. Any ideas on what could be coloring the fluid?

Anyone know of a good supplier of SU needles? My car is running a bit lean at
the top end as indicated by a light tan colored exhaust pipe. The color is
proper gray at lower to mid range RPMs. I believe I need a needle that has a
narrower taper on the bottom portion. Currently running Moss Motors RH needle
(374-220) which is supposedly their rich version. I'm running stock carbs,
mid-range cam, 11.5 to 1 compression.

Thanks

Gary
