I got a new set of liners from BFE and the wrapper says they are weather protected. It appears to be some sort of clear sprayed on. A soaking in the parts washer didn't take it off so I tried carb cleaner and a wire brush to no avail. Its tough stuff so now I'm wondering if it is intended to stay on. The top edge of the liner shows an orange peel effect which can't be good for head gasket sealing. Any ideas? Bob Kramer rkramer3@austin.rr.com |
