Hello:
Question for your TR engine builders - I have rebuilt my TR-4 engine with 11
to 1 compression, mid-range Schumacher cam, good rods/pistons, lightened
flywheel.
For initial shake down, I took the car to a local 1/2 mile paved oval and ran
140 laps, both directions. Due to track configuration, I was only able to get
into third gear and up to 4000 rpm. Car ran fine. Is this sufficient
break-in to now run up to 6000 rpm at race speeds or should I put a few more
miles on it while gradually building speed and revs to 6000 rpm? Thanks.
