I'm sure that most of us have many opinions on many subjects, but
most would be better off being discussed on the-local@autox.team.net
or one of the forums on the team.net wiki.

So this request for opinions is more limited. If you've got some
time to spare, point your web browser at

http://fatchancegarage.com

Up in the left is a list of links, click on the 'Parts for Sale' entry.
On that page, you can try the search link if you want to snicker at my
initial feeble attempts at dynamic web page programming. At least I'm
making some progress ;-)

What I'd like to have you try is the 'Browse all parts' link. You'll
get a page listing about a dozen or so various parts, some Lucas NOS
stuff that I need to look up in my references to match to make and model,
some new, some used, and so on. Currently that page is just for some of
the stuff I have laying around. The Fat Chance Garage is sitting on
maybe $15,000, $20,000 or more of used parts. I wish it was 20 or 30
$1,000 parts, but in truth it is thousands of $1 - $10 parts.

Very obviously it isn't Ebay, but do you think that others with piles of
parts they wish to peddle might find such a tool useful? A parts swap
database might be something that Team.Net could offer for a minimal
cost that could prove generally useful. Anyone on the planet can see
the list of what's available, but only those who sign up for a few bucks
could list their own parts or see the contact info for stuff they want.
What do you think about the idea in general?
