Have him look up Dick Plank, an instructor at Western Mich. Dick's
been a Midwestern Council member for years, bringing students for
autocross and racing at Gingerman, Blackhawk, etc. I'm sure Dick
would have some recommendation about local shops. In fact, I'd be
surprised if your son doesn't know Dick, based on what you've
mentioned about his course of studies.
