Just got back from the track. Sam did take 3rd in his TR6. He was a front
runner the entire time. I dont think I ever saw him lower than 5th. It was
a short race as there was a black flag that kept the group sitting in grid
for most of the race. It was a sprint to the finish for 2 laps. The leaders
took each other out in the esses and Sam was running second on the last lap
until he was rear ended but he managed to get things back under control and
held on for 3rd. Dwight Cooke looked great out there in the TR4 and finished
the race but it sure is puzzling how they can class that 1962 tractor in EP
with all that new foreign stuff. Congrats to Sam, all us Triumph fans
sure left the track feeling proud:-)
