identify a spitfire bellhousing?

can anyone identify bellhousing #308541.

its appears to be for a single rail box (has the "hole" in the casting for the 
selector shaft) & bolts OK to late single rail case.

has starter on passenger side. 

have tried to fit it to a Spit 1500 engine without luck. none of the bolts line 
up

any help appreicated
