if you don't fall into that geographic area, please ignore.

What: NER SCCA / Cape Cod British Car Club autocross
When: Sunday, 21-August-2005, registration and tech 7:30-9:00, first car
off, 10:00
Where: Cape Cod Community College, West Barnstable, MA. Take Rt. 6 East
(over Sagamore Bridge) to exit 6, Rt. 132. At bottom of ramp, turn Left.
Follow 132 about .5 miles to Cape Cod Community College on the right.
Workers will sign you in (everyone admitted to the site must sign a
liability waiver and wear a wrist band all day) and then direct you to the
paddock space.
Cost: $20 for members of SCCA (SCCA member card required to verify) and
members in good standing with the Cape Cod British Car Club or $25
for non-members.
Classing: SCCA Solo II classing will be used for most participants, but
there will be TBD classing for participating British cars. Cape Cod
British Car Club will be determining the British Car classing.
Other: participating drivers must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle.
Drivers under 18 years of age require the parents to sign a minor waiver
- please contact us prior to the event for details. Any cars that will be
competing will have to pass tech. Tech consists of the following: tires
must have no chords showing, no cracks in the sidewalls. Wheels must be
properly secured - no missing lug nuts or broken wheels studs. Wheel trim
rings must be removed. The car must not be leaking fluids profusely.
Battery must be fully secured. Throttle must be able to return to the
idle position without assistance. The boot and cockpit should be free of
loose objects. The driver must have an operational seat belt - no frayed
belts! Steering must be tight, bearings properly set. The brake pedal
should be firm. remember that we promote safety first, so make your car
_safe_ above all. Note: cars prepared beyond stock may require additional
safety items, contact us for details.
Novice instruction will be available.
Loaner helmets will also be available.
In order to run, you must work. Work assignments will be given after the
run order has been established (prior to or at the driver meeting). Plan
to spend the whole day at the venue, so bring food and drinks
(non-alcoholic) and sunscreen!
This should be a fun event - lets get those old British cars out there and
DRIVE THEM. If your British car is not able to make the trip, please come
out and cheer on your fellow British Car enthusiasts.
