Some time ago I whipped up a quick spreadsheet where you could enter various
things ( denoted by the lines with >> in them ) like tire size, gear ratios
and it would output info like this:
Section Width (mm) >> 180
Aspect Ratio >> 50
Wheel Diameter (inches) >> 13.00
Wheel Width (inches) >> 8.00
Section Width (inches) 7.09
Section Height (inches) 3.54
Overall Diameter (inches) 20.09
Rear end ratio >> 4.11
Transmission ratios 1st 2nd 3rd 4th
>> 3.50 2.16 1.39 1.00
RPM 1st 2nd 3rd 4th
1500.00 6.23 10.10 15.69 21.81
2000.00 8.31 13.46 20.92 29.08
2500.00 10.39 16.83 26.15 36.35
3000.00 12.46 20.19 31.38 43.62
3500.00 14.54 23.56 36.61 50.89
4000.00 16.62 26.93 41.84 58.16
4500.00 18.69 30.29 47.07 65.43
5000.00 20.77 33.66 52.30 72.70
5500.00 22.85 37.02 57.53 79.97
6000.00 24.93 40.39 62.76 87.24
6500.00 27.00 43.75 67.99 94.51
7000.00 29.08 47.12 73.22 101.78
Offhand I can't remember what particular tire siz on Killer the above chart
covers, maybe the 20 x 8 x 13 Goodyear slicks.
I still have it around in sc format for Unix, which I'm assuming most of you
can't use ;-) When I get RIF'ed from the U maybe I'll work on a form based
web page to give the same info. I'm pretty sure I've seen references to ones
that already exist, though, in various other automotive lists. Maybe I'll
poke around a bit after I come back from the shop later. I'm really looking
forward to going down there on this 103 degree summer day to work on the
cooling system of the old Honda. So it goes.
