The Great Race rolled into Westminster, Colorado Sunday evening for a well
deserved day off. There were many drivers and navigators who really looked
whipped and wiped. The always impressive rolling museum having only 2
representatives upholding the Union Jack, the Land Rover and a MG-A.
As they arrived from the days final leg from Sterling, Colorado, the cars were
spread out in Parc ferme' on the Westminster Promenade adjacent to the Westin
Hotel. The nicest display of Great Race Cars I've ever seen here in Colorado.
Weather was cool with overcast skys, gusty breeze and a threat of showers that
did not materialize. A quite perfect evening to receive he competitors.
Monday's day off has the cars displayed in bright sunshine with a near
cloudless sky, temperatures in the mid 70's at noon and high humidity (in
Colorado) in the mid 40% range, dew point @ 48 degrees, scattered thunder
storms later today.
Exceptional day!
