Hey Chuck,

One question, WHY???

Do you really think there is an advantage running a period petrol injection
system? If you were going to fit a current fuel injection system I would
certainly understand. There is some neat stuff on the market these days.

Back in 2002 when the Brits joined us in Mid-Ohio, then again in '04 at VIR
a guy named John Whitely came with car that resembled a TR6. (Not much in
the way of stock TR parts on ANY of the Brit's cars!) He ran a home-brew
fuel injection system, the system had teething issues in '02 and was pretty
much in shambles in '04.

In '04, he tried running two sets of injectors, one set in the stock
location in a PI intake manifold for slow rpm, and another set waaaaaay out
from the engine for fast rpm. Neat concept, but the guy what was supposed
to program his CPU let him down and the engine didn't make much power at all.

At least that is the way I remember it. Whenever I talked to him I had a
beer in my hand, just like him. Had to be polite, you know...

John, affectionately known as Pugwash, would be worth finding and talking
to. He's a Merchant Marine, so he might be impossible to get hold of if he
is at sea.

Jon Wood should know how to reach him.

My only other idea is to come to your senses, toss the PI idea and run a
set of carbs!

Good luck.
