After the treatment at the hands of the staff of Mid-Ohio in the past, I will
never go to another race there again. As one of those who has a motorhome, I
have heard from some attendees last year they were tapped for a $200 parking
fee for a self contained motorhome. That is absolutely rediculous. There are no
utilities offered and you're out in the mud. All that for a $200 fee. Three
years ago it was $75 which was bad enough. Top that off with the rudeness of
some of the track personnel.................
If FOT is being invited to an event, I would be of the mind we should, as a
group have something put on the table and some assurances made. You're paying
how much to be part of a show that fills their stands and their pockets?? And
how are you treated? Sorry, my last trip to MO was just that. I can be verbally
abused and treated poorly at work and get paid for it, I don't need to drive 7
hours, pay entry fees, parking fees and have thugs treat me like a criminal
while I line their pockets. I am sure there are some kind and decent folks at
MO, but the actions of the others outweigh their presence.

While I am sure you all know what I am going to say, I'll say it again
anyway...
;-)
My vote is to try to get the "FoT Appearance" at an event that is NOT an
HSR/SVRA type event. Especially not Mid-Ohio.
I really think we will get more attendance if we can get more than 5
sessions for $400.
We have a calendar full of opportunities with VDCA, VSCDA, VARAC and VRG.
Why not one of these? What happened to the idea of Hallet?
I think we just need to pick an event and all show up. These events have
plenty of track time, and would be happy to have 25+ Triumphs show up.
How about the VRG event at BeaveRun? Just outside Pittsburgh. Early July.
Held a week from the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix so folks with a long tow
can run both.
Or Road America in September with VSCDA?
Or VIR with VDCA?
Or Mosport with VARAC?
Anything but SVRA at Mid-Ohio. Please...
