In fact, I overtorque mine just slightly, by lubricating the threads with motor oil instead of installing them dry and still setting the wrench to 105. In 40 years of TRactor motor ownership, I've yet to crack a block or head. Have stretched a few studs, though, they seem to be the weakest link (as it should be). Randall |
