Sure. Maybe I don't really understand the question. I do it all the time to
set camber, etc. It's particularly easy if you're using the TR6 ball joint,
but in either case, there's no reason to pull all the lower stuff.

I just received a telephone call from a local TR club member about replacing
the front suspension upper inner fulcrum bushings on a TR3. I have always
taken apart the whole front suspension (lower A-arms, spring, trunnion,
etc.) and replaced all the bushings at once.
Is it possible (and worthwhile) to pull the ball joint and remove only the
upper A-arms without disassembling the rest of the suspension?
